WORLD webinar on women’s equal opportunities and empowerment in 193 countries: tools for accountability and advocacy

Are you interested in actionable information to promote social change? Are you an advocate for gender equality or women’s economic empowerment?

The WORLD Policy Analysis Center (WORLD) is offering an opportunity to learn about its unique set of tools – interactive maps, data, and easy-to-understand factsheets on rights, laws, and policies affecting women’s equal opportunities and empowerment in 193 countries. These tools can be used to:

  • Increase transparency about country action on policies important to women’s equality
  • Hold governments accountable for filling policy gaps and implementing existing policies
  • Assess whether countries are meeting their international commitments
  • Identify which policies have been feasible and effective in other similar countries

WORLD is holding an interactive webinar and discussion with Dr. Jody Heymann, Founding Director of WORLD and Dean of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, and other colleagues. Potential topics for discussion include: access to education, protection from child marriage, work and caregiving, income security, and constitutional rights, among others.

Webinars will take place in English, French, and Spanish.
