Kyrgyzstan ranks 44th place in Gender Equity Index

Kyrgyzstan ranks 44th place in Gender Equity Index. This is said in the annual report of Social Watch.

As noted, the list of 154 states is headed by countries of North Europe – Norway, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Denmark.

Among post-Soviet countries Latvia holds 18th place, Estonia – 19th place, Moldova – 21st place. It is noteworthy that these countries take the same points as France, Namibia, Portugal, and Rwanda.

Lithuania takes 23rd place, Russia – 31st, Kazakhstan – 33rd, Armenia – 61st, Ukraine – 64th.

African states close the list. They are the Republic of the Congo, Niger and Chad. Afghanistan ranks the last place.
